VARIOUS COMISSIONS OF THE PROVINCE:-2018
1. Finance and Construction Commission

The Finance Commission is an auxiliary body of the Provincial Administration. The purpose of this commission is to plan and execute the financial projects of the Province. It also makes an effort to gather financial sources and monitors the income and expenditure of all the houses and institutions within the Province.
It also studies proposed constructions to be undertaken by the province, scrutinises contracts, documents/papers and their legal implications, building plans, etc., and makes its recommendations on the above issues to the Provincial Council. It also conducts timely supervision of the progress of any project underway in the Province.
Concrete Objectives:
1. Scrutinize the annual Budget of the province.
2. Study and assess the financial status of projects/ institutions/parishes.
3. Study and approve a contract with a contractor or any other party.
4. Supervise any construction underway in the Province, exercise quality control.
5. Conduct interim audit of all the houses and institutions.
6. Study and approve lawyers who may be employed by the Province.
7. “Check financial Leakage” in constructions and projects in the province.
Note: interim audit is to facilitate and help members do the accounting so that the final official auditing is done on time and that all the documents pertaining to auditing is maintained up-to-date. The interim audit of our province will take place at the end of nine months of each financial year.
2. Apostolate Commission

The Apostolate/Mission Commission is an auxiliary body of the Provincial Administration. The Commission plans and coordinates the pastoral activities of the Pallottine communities in different parts of the Province. It also works towards providing general guidelines for parish management, solving problems of pastoral work in parishes and searches for ways and means to implement the Pallottine Charism.
Shanti Niwas Renewal Centre is the pivot of the Apostolate Commission.
Concrete Objectives:
1. Prepare a parish code.
2. Ensure the implementation of the church/diocesan policy as well as decisions of the provincial council regarding apostolate in the province.
3. Be responsible for UCA program in the province.
4. Take charge of Lay animation in the province: Training the laity, catechists, Cruz Veer, Pallottine youth group, etc.
3. Education Commission

Education Commission of the Khrist Jyoti Province is one of the committees constituted by the Provincial Council to supervise and direct all the educational institutions of the Province. They offer valuable suggestions for staff meetings, managing committee meetings, value based education, evaluate the functioning of educational institutions, etc.
Concrete Objectives:
1. The commission periodically reviews the fee structure in our educational institutions.
2. Reviews also the salary scale, service rules, common policies for our schools, etc.
3. Organizes meetings of Managers/Principals.
4. Studies and suggests new concepts and policies.
5. Helps mission schools with expert suggestions and guidance.
4. Formation Commission

Formation Commission is an auxiliary body of the Provincial Administration. The Commission functions in collaboration with the General Secretariat for Formation which was established by the General Assembly in 1998 in response to the appeal of the Holy See to initiate in institutes of consecrated life a systematic programme of formation for the persons already belonging to and those who would be future members of the institutes. As guidelines for the programme of formation for the Pallottines the “Ratio Institutinis” came into existence.
Concrete Objectives:
1. The commission works out the syllabus for the VOC’s as per the “Ratio Institutinis.”
2. It is Responsible for vocation promotion.
3. It reviews the formation system and the formation houses in the province.
4. Organizes vocational and vacation studies during summer.
5. Arranges the Pastoral exposure programme for those in different stages of formation.
6. Organizes ongoing formation programmes.
5. Social Work Commission

Social Work Commission of the Khrist Jyoti Province is one of the committees constituted by the Provincial Council to supervise and direct the social apostolate of the Province. It also attempts to tap resources available in India and to utilize the personal resources that we have in the province for the benefit of the social apostolate of the Province. The commission would also facilitate in creating social awareness among the prestigious schools/institutions that we have in the province. Generous benefactors and well wishers, with the help of the commission can reach out to the poor of our missions. The commission would work in close association with the mission secretariat.
6. Mission Secretariat/Children Home Commission

The Children’s Home and Boarding Commission is constituted by the Provincial Administration. The purpose behind the formation of this commission is to formulate, execute and evaluate the boarding policies. It is important to note that formation in our boarding is as important as formation in our seminaries.
Concrete Objectives:
1. Draft and periodically review the boarding code.
2. Regulate fee structure, time table, menu, discipline, etc., for our boardings.
3. Organize seminars/moral classes for boarding children, etc.
Note:
a. The secretary of each of the commissions is one of the provincial Consultors. The secretary will chair the meetings. However, all the documentation, organization of meetings, correspondence, etc., will be done by the respective heads of the commissions.
b. In all matters concerning the work of the commissions, the final decision is with the Provincial Council. However, the recommendations of the commissions will be respected, unless they are against the law of the Society or the policies of the Province or are foreseen to adversely affect the common good of the Province.
7. Youth Commission

Youth Commission is an auxiliary body of the Provincial Administration. The task of the Commission consists of planning and executing the Youth ministry of the Province. The task of the Commission, therefore, is to elaborate the general guidelines for greater efficiency and coordination of initiatives in the youth apostolate in the Province.
