Holy Cross Senior Secondary School, Kapa

1993: Holy Cross Sr. Sec. School, Kapa, began with the laying of the Foundation Stone by then Provincial Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Tharakunnel.

Organisation

St. Vincent Pallotti founded the Society of the Catholic Apostolate in the year 1835. This Society is commonly known as the congregation of the Pallottine Fathers and Brothers.The good services of the society spread all over the world,making a beginning in India in 1951. This society tries to live up to the ideals of St.Vincent Pallotti in spreading the flame of charity as urged by Jesus Christ. Its essential effort is in proclaiming to the world that unity and happiness lie in service. Its main thrust is to use all means and all people of good will to enkindle charity in human society.

Holy Cross Senior Secondary School, Kapa was established in 1992 by the Pallottine Fathers and Brothers.

Gyan Sagar Sangh

The Pallottine Fathers started an education society by the name Vidya Prothsahan Sangh to run Holy Cross School ,Byron Bazar with the sole purpose of meeting the educational needs of the place. Holy Cross School Kapa become independent from Holy Cross Byron Bazar and got the affiliation of the CBSE., Delhi. With this the school came into the care of Gyan Sagar Sangh which was established on 30.03.1999. Thus Holy Cross Senior Secondary School, Kapa, is under the care of Gyan Sagar Sangh, which has its objective the care of the educational needs of the people of Chhattisgarh and others.
